Empath Massage Therapy
Hi, I’m Alison Kennedy. In 2012, I graduated with honors from the Cortiva Institute of Seattle. Since then, I have been a licensed massage therapist working primarily with medical massage clinics, and in my private practice, formerly known as Child of Peace Massage.
My specialty lies in working with individuals of all ages with extra medical needs, palliative care and hospice clients. The ages of individuals I have worked with have been 2 – 102. I am a trained certified pediatric massage therapist (CPMT) and infant/pediatric massage educator (CIMT).
My work is trauma-informed and I have worked with individuals who deal with symptoms of:
– Neurodivergence, have ADHD, anxiety, and/or extra sensory needs/considerations
– Cerebral Palsy/Rett Syndrome
– EDS/Chiari
– MS/ALS/Fibromyalgia/Lyme Disease
– Parkinson’s/Alzheimer’s
– Cancer/Diabetes
– Been injured on the job or via accident
In my free time I enjoy creating artwork, writing, making music, taking nature photographs, spending time with my partner and two daughters. I am also currently pursuing a graduate degree in clinical social work to become a better healthcare advocate.
I am a member of the AMTA and a licensed massage therapist in Washington State. LIC# MA 60270885.
Rates
60 Minute Treatment Session: $100
90 Minute Treatment Session: $150
Currently, I accept cash clients, L&I and PIP claims.
If you have insurance, I am able to provide the documentation to assist you with insurance reimbursement for our sessions. As always, check in with your insurance company and care provider first.
